Sapa, Sapa is located in the Northern Vietnam province of Lao Cai

Sapa is located in the Northern Vietnam province of Lao Cai bordering China. It has developed over a hundred years and began as a mountain retreat fro the French colonists. Sapa has a become a favorite tourist spot sought after for it s colourful markets, ethic minorities and trekking in its outstanding terraced landscapes.

The town of Sapa is easily recognizable with its abundance of shops, restaurants and hotels designed and decorated in French architecture. Just beyond its borders the mountains are dotted with large wooden homes making up the ethic villages. The Ethnic Minorities that make up the immediate Sapa area include: the Black H’mong, Red Dao, Day, Tay and Thai.
